The basics of legal research are essential skills for any law student and aspiring lawyer. Skills such as retrieving journal articles, cases and specific legislative instruments are a must in any law environment. These classes aim at addressing the 'how' of conducting research when presented with a legal problem, as well as covering the basic skills of retrieving the above materials.

Databases that will be covered will be UCT Libraries resources (ALEPH catalogue and e-Journals), LexisNexis South Africa, Juta, SAFLII and Sabinet Legal.

Classes are limited to 20 people per class, registration is necessary to attend.
