UCT Libraries will be closed on Freedom Day (Thursday 27 April) and Workers' Day (Monday 1 May). The Hlanganani 24/7 study space will be open during this time.
The librarians will be running Basic Legal Research workshops from 22 March to 28 April. These classes will equip you to search for different legal sources, such as journal articles, cases and legislation (focusing on South African resources), as well as how to approach research in terms of a legal problem. Registration is necessary.
After yesterday's landmark judgment in the case of Economic Freedom Fighters v Speaker of the National Assembly and Others; Democratic Alliance v Speaker of the National Assembly and Others  ZACC 11, more commonly known as the Nkandla case, contributions by several members of the Law Faculty have appeared in media reports.
